Audience

This document highlights some of the features that can be used when adhering to certain duties regarding personal data protection. It is not intended to cover all the requirements and doesn’t cover potential particularities for each regulation.

These personal data protection regulations are included, but are not exhaustive:

  • General data protection and regulation (GDPR) in Europe

  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in California

  • Protection of personal information (POPI) in South Africa

All these regulations apply to all companies that operate in the region, as well as companies outside the region that process the personal data in the region.
Because the first regulation regarding personal data protection originated in Europe, the GDPR could be used in the user interface or in this document. Those use cases apply equally to any regulation related to personal data protection.

What’s new

All versions of the solution are ready to manage personal data protection. The tools delivered by the platform depend on the version. To further assist customers, some features have been designed specifically for personal data protection and have been implemented as of version 11.
